SaaS settings & preferences card sort template
Settings screens are graveyards of one-off toggles unless someone tests the mental model first. Users arrive with a task ('turn off emails', 'add a seat', 'download invoice') and blame the product when they cannot find it.
This sort uses common SaaS account concepts. Run it with active customers, not only internal staff. Internal teams over-index on how the backend is organised; customers index on tasks.
If Billing and Subscription always merge, your nav can too. If Security never merges with Privacy, splitting them in the UI is probably correct.
